May The Cloud And The Fire Of The Lord Bless Your Life This Day
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“Thus Moses finished the work. Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. For throughout all their journeys, the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel”
Exodus 40: 33-34, 38
We are the present day tabernacle of our Lord, and Jesus Christ, by His blood, has made us to be a kingdom of priests to God our Father (1 Corinthians 3:16, Revelation 1:5-6, 5:9-10). It is our divine privilege, and call, to minister to our Lord in His presence.
This last verse in the book of Exodus shows us what God provides for us as we do minister to Him. “The cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in it by night.”
As priests unto our God, in obedience to, and fulfillment of, God’s word, we are blessed while “ministering to the Lord” (Acts 13:2) to realize that the presence of our Lord is a cool cloud of shade on a hot day and a welcome cloud of life-renewing rain on a dry day. We are also blessed to know, in God’s presence, the fire of our Lord; His warmth on a cold night and His constant light in the darkness.
God blesses us immensely, with Himself, as we draw near to Him, recognizing and honoring that our Lord has drawn near to us with the expressed purpose that we would minister to Him.
The divine abandonment of ministering to our Lord in His presence opens us up to a greater realization of our God.
Saying “In Your presence is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11) is great. But taking the actual time to be in God’s presence, as His priest, to witness the cloud and the fire of His presence, which does produce much “fullness of joy,” is even better.
I encourage you to minister this day to your gracious Abba Father, in the Holy Spirit temple within you, with Jesus Christ as your High Priest, and let God show you Himself what His cloud and His fire are here to provide for you.
He loves that we draw near to Him as priests and He blesses us with Himself when we do draw near. This is what God has always wanted from all of His people (see Exodus 19: 3-6).
Ministering to the Lord is divine harmony in motion. May the cloud and the fire of God bless your life as you enter His tabernacle today! Hallelujah!
