Our Father Who Is In Secret

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

Our Father Who Is In Secret

“But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you” Matthew 6:6

Let us meet daily, joyfully, and continually, with our “Father who is in secret.”

We meet with our Abba Father in our “inner room” and there the blessings flow.

We are in His presence.

Many may be content to say “Our Father who is in heaven,” which is how Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6:9, but the true seeker of God wants more. The true seeker is not content to leave the Father up in heaven. How many recognize and understand that, prior to teaching us how to pray in Matthew 6:9, Jesus taught us where to pray just three verses earlier in Matthew 6:6, in “your inner room,” encouraging us to meet regularly with our “Father who is in secret?”

Both statements are true, praise His name - “Our Father who is in heaven” and our “Father who is in secret.”

But why leave our Father in heaven, so far away, when you could be meeting with Him “in secret” at all times?

The minister of the Lord wants as much of God as possible. So we certainly do gladly and devotedly pray “our Father who is in heaven.” It’s just this though. The minister of the Lord first gladly goes to the inner court, the “inner room,” to be with our “Father who is in secret” before we even pray “our Father who is in heaven.”

We are honoring God with our prayer but, in addition, we are honoring God by obeying our Savior’s words concerning where we pray, in the “inner room.” So we honor God by both honoring His presence and honoring Him with our prayer “in secret.”

In every way, ministering unto our Lord is a greatly expanded understanding of and experience in prayer to our God in the presence of our God.

Receive the mighty enhancement awaiting you of first meeting with “your Father who is in secret” and then praying “our Father who is in heaven.” Hallelujah!
