Zadok – Part 2 – Bringing The Ark Of God “To The Place That I Have Prepared For It”

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

Zadok – Part 2 – Bringing The Ark Of God “To The Place That I Have Prepared For It”

“Then David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and said to them, ‘You are the heads of the father’s households of the Levites; consecrate yourselves both you and your relatives, that you may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel to the place that I have prepared for it’”

1 Chronicles 15:11-12

The next time Zadok appears in scripture is here, when now ruling king David was preparing to bring the ark of the covenant into Jerusalem. And who did the king entrust this awesome privilege and responsibility to? It was Zadok and Abiathar, the faithful priests most loyal to God’s anointed king and covenant.

Zadok was David’s most faithful and trusted priest, as we will continue to see.

Let us, in this day and age, be the faithful, awakened, and responsive priests unto our King and High Priest of a new covenant, Jesus Christ. Let us bring the ark our Lord’s “new covenant in My blood” (Luke 22:20 into the heart of God’s people, that it may be regarded as sacred and understood by all.

Everybody, I mean every Christian, needs to understand our priesthood and new covenant. King David told Zadok that he was bringing the ark of the covenant “to the place that I have prepared for it.” For us, in Jesus Christ, being born again of His Holy Spirit through the blood of His new covenant, God wants us to understand that “the place that I have prepared for it” now lives within us. God’s law is now written in our hearts even as Christ Himself is the new covenant, the new law, living in us, just as scripture has foretold and has fulfilled (see Jeremiah 31:31-34 & Hebrews 8:7-14).

By turning up the lights on our priesthood and new covenant in Jesus Christ, we are encouraging all professing Christians to actually step all the way into Christianity, and to realize through our priesthood and new covenant the declared truth of “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).

Yes, Let us be God’s faithful priests, loyal to His anointed One, Jesus our Christ, Who is our King, our High Priest, and our New Covenant.

Today, bring the ark of the new covenant “to the place that I have prepared for it” and give thanks. Hallelujah!
