Never Lack A Man Before Me
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“For thus says the Lord, ‘ David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel; and the Levitical priests shall never lack a man before Me”
Jeremiah 33:17
Here is another beautiful prophecy of Jesus, our Messiah, identified as such as the Lord began speaking through Jeremiah saying “I will cause a righteous Branch of David to spring forth” (Jeremiah 33:15).
Praise God! Jesus is God’s righteous Branch of David and He is the One Who presently is sitting upon the throne. We see in this scripture the tender love of God for David, Who has fulfilled His promise to David in the Person of Jesus Christ, Who is both our “Lord” (Psalm 110:1) and “priest forever” (Psalm 110:4). God’s promise to David is perfectly and permanently fulfilled in Jesus Christ!
Yes, let us declare joyfully to the churches that Jesus, our resurrected and indwelling Savior, is both King and High Priest, right now, over His Own body of Christ, for God has created us to be His present day “kingdom and priests” (Revelation 5:10).
Let us yield to Jesus our King and let us minister to our Lord as priests under our High Priest, Jesus. When you and I recognize and revere Christ as our King and High Priest, we are honoring God’s promise to David and God’s promise regarding His priesthood.
Every single blessed time you and I go into our inner room, the inner court within us, to minister to our Lord, we are in effect saying to God, “I come here My God to worship and minister before You for You have said that Your ‘priests shall never lack a man before Me.’ I love You Lord and I am here right now because I desire to be that person before You.”
Oh hallelujah and bless our God that we are so blessed to be a direct fulfillment of this word, and this will, of our God in this day and age.
God wants all of His people, right now, to come directly to Him and before Him as His Own “royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2;9). We truly honor our Lord God’s word and will when He never lacks a man, to be a priest, before Him.
Let us be God’s reverential and experiential kingdom of priests in this age, so He will never lack a man before Him, even as Jesus, our High Priest, is before God right now “since He always lives to make intercession” for us (Hebrews 7:25)!
Hallelujah!
