See His Great Light & Be Glad In His Presence
Today's Word of Encouragement from Wayne:
"The people who walk in darkness will see a great light; those who live in a dark land, the light will shine on them. You shall multiply the nation, you shall increase their gladness; they will be glad in Your presence"
Isaiah 9: 2-3
Hallelujah, beloved Christian and priest unto your Lord, let God’s "great light" lead you into His presence today, so you may be filled with gladness.
God has shined His great light upon us through Jesus Christ, Who has declared Himself to be "the light of this world." He said "I am the light of the world; He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life" (John 8:12). This is the light that we in the body of Christ have, right now - Christ Himself, our "Light of life," and the sign that we recognize His light is seen when we let His light lead us into His presence, where we experience a great "increase" in our "gladness."
Why would we want to walk in the darkness any longer when we could be and should be seeing God’s "great light?" Yes, let God’s light, the light of Jesus Christ, "shine on" you and let God’s light lead you into His presence today.
It is just as David declared when he wrote, "You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy." God’s "path of life" leads us into His "presence" where are graced to encounter "fullness of joy." Yes, God is here, right now, and ready to "increase" your "gladness" by making you glad in His presence. Minister as a priest in His presence. What a joy and a privilege.
This is also well expressed in Psalm 43: "O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your dwelling places. Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy; and upon the lyre I shall praise You, O God, my God" (verses 3-4). Yes, praise God, saying "O God, my God," and if you have an instrument, play that to the Lord in His presence too. Give praise to God and confess unto Him, "God [You are] my exceeding joy."
All of these verses agree that God’s light is here to lead you into His presence, so you may be joyful and filled with gladness in Him. Praise His holy name!
And now... Let us go "to God my exceeding joy." Hallelujah!
