Declaring His Praise

Today's Word of Encouragement from Wayne:

Declaring His Praise

"The people whom I formed for Myself will declare My praise"

Isaiah 43: 21

Declare your Lord’s praise today and rejoice in Him, beloved child of God and priest unto the Lord.

It is only the people who know they have been formed for the Lord, "for Myself;" these are the ones who want to and will declare, faithfully, regularly, and joyfully, the bountiful praises of our God.

When we realize that God has formed us for Himself and, in love, has drawn us to Himself to be born again through the New Covenant blood of Christ, that’s when we begin declaring His praises, and we will never stop.

If our faith becomes a technological exercise in theology, then there is not much praise to be found. However, when, as a saved person, we know that God has formed us for Himself, that we might truly be with Him, that’s when we (hopefully) awaken to our priesthood. Yes, we desire to declare God’s praises to this world and, even more, we desire to declare God’s praises in His Own presence, for He has formed us for Himself and our desire is to be with Him, for Himself. So we enter in, into His presence, as His people, to be fortified in Him and to declare His praises.

There’s a big difference between the "saved to serve" mentality and "The Lord has formed me for Himself" awareness. The Lord has formed me for Himself and this makes me want to serve Him, with gladness, and to praise Him in His presence, for all He has done and for all He is.

I echo Paul’s words when he wrote of "God, whom I serve in my spirit in the preaching of the gospel of His Son" (Romans 1: 9) and I echo Peter’s words, "You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" (1st Peter 2:9).

Let us serve God in our spirit always in the preaching of "the gospel of His Son" to this world. And let us serve God in our spirit always by being "a people for God’s Own possession," realizing and responding to the truth that our God has "formed for Myself" our lives as His Own "royal priesthood," that we would minister to Him in His presence.

In Isaiah the prophetic word was, "The people whom I formed for Myself will declare My praise." In Peter the fulfilled word is that we are "A people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him."

Beloved Christian, joyfully declare His praise and "proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you." Be His "royal priesthood" in His presence today, for it is only God’s Own people, who know they are "formed for Myself," who will declare His praise. Hallelujah!
