Into The Presence Of God For Us

Today's Word of Encouragement from Wayne:

Into The Presence Of God For Us

"For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us"

Hebrews 9:24

Praise God, as we continue to behold the fullness of Psalm 110's prophecies, we are graced to see more and more of Who Jesus has become for us, both "Lord" (Psalm 110:1) and "priest forever" (Psalm 110:4), and what Jesus has done for us, "He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD" (Hebrews 10:13, Psalm 110:1). It is humbling, I think, in light of all we have been looking at for these past two and half weeks from Psalm 110, to see that when our resurrected King and High Priest, Jesus Christ, took His precious New Covenant blood into "the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption" (Hebrews 9:12), that He was doing it "for us."

Hebrews 9:24 tells us plainly, stating that our Savior entered the true holy place "to appear in the presence of God for us." Oh, praise our God that He would have you and I in mind even as He fulfilled prophecy. Why has Jesus done all He has done? We know He has obeyed God completely, and He shed His sinless New Covenant blood at Calvary. This blood of the eternal covenant is how God raised Jesus from the dead (Hebrews 13:20). And we have seen that our risen Lord Jesus is also our High Priest, Who has taken His precious New Covenant blood into heaven "to appear in the presence of God for us!"

Oh hallelujah! What wondrous love is this o my soul! All that our Lord has done, and all that our Lord has become, He has done "for us." God is "for us." Let us be "for God." Let us live for God. Let us enter God’s presence, as His royal priesthood (1st Peter 2:9), and bless His holy name. So, why has God done all this "for us?" Jesus said it; "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son" (John 3:16). Look at the vastness of this prophecy from Psalm 110 and it’s fulfillment in Jesus Christ. Now see how God has "so loved" us all the way through this prophecy, that He would "appear in the presence of God for us" to obtain for us "eternal redemption" and only then He "SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD."

Oh bless Your holy name Lord Jesus, our King and High Priest. We rejoice in our eternal redemption and we thank You for all You have done "for us." May we always be grateful and devoted to You, our great King and our High Priest. Hallelujah!
