Seeing The Radiance Of His Glory

Today's Word of Encouragement from Wayne:

Seeing The Radiance Of His Glory

"He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high."

Hebrews 1:3

The first time the Author of Hebrews mentions Psalm 110 is right in the opening chapter of His letter, in the third verse. Because our Lord and High Priest Jesus Christ has fulfilled Psalm 110, He has now "sat down at the right hand" of God ("The Lord says to My Lord: ‘Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet" Psalm 110:1), which expresses Christ’s finished work of His New Covenant of salvation, and His victory over sin and death. Look at some of the riches that are ours, right now, because Jesus is victorious and has fulfilled psalm 110. "He is the radiance of His glory" – God has placed His glory in His Son, for all of His New Covenant children to see and behold.

In His second letter to the Corinthians, the apostle Paul spoke of this very point, writing "for God, who said, ‘Light shall shine out of darkness’ (Genesis 1:3), is the One Who has shown in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ" (2 Corinthians 4:6). Because Jesus Christ is victorious and has "sat down at the right hand" of the Father, and because we have received Christ as our indwelling Savior, we are now blessed of God to see His glory in the face of Christ "in our hearts," where God dwells in Spirit. We need to see this glory of Christ, and we are blessed to see this glory of Christ. For when we behold the glory of Christ, we can then also see and understand that Jesus, right now, is "the exact representation of His nature." Amen.

I encourage you to minister as a priest in God’s presence today and see the glory of your High Priest, Jesus Christ, in His face. Jesus is "the exact representation" of God’s nature. How blessed we are to be with our Lord, to minister to our Lord, to behold our Lord, to see Him "exactly,"and to be transformed by His glory. Yes, we bless You Lord! Hallelujah!
