Our High Priest & His Perfect New Covenant Blood
Today's Word of Encouragement from Wayne:
"When Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant"
Hebrews 9:11,12,15
Praise be to Jesus Christ for His perfect and sinless New Covenant blood, which is so because of our Savior’s perfect obedience to the Father. Our Savior never sinned; He never failed the Old Covenant law. He fulfilled the law by obeying His Father perfectly, all the way to Calvary, carrying the New Covenant in His pure sacrificial blood. Because of Jesus’ pure sacrificial New Covenant blood (Luke 22:20),God was able to resurrect His Son.
"The God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord" (Hebrews 13:20). Praise God that in His resurrection, Jesus Christ has become our High Priest, and this is how He entered the tabernacle in heaven with His perfect New Covenant blood, as our High Priest. Jesus is our "mediator" - He has settled all matters between us and God so we may live together in eternal reconciliation and oneness, in a New Covenant. Jesus presented His New Covenant blood of perfection to God His Father, in love, and pleasing God, and He then "obtained eternal redemption," in love, for us. Praise God, Jesus Christ our High Priest is our Divine Mediator.
Jesus Christ has blessed and obeyed His Father and has now blessed us, paying the price for our sins and bringing His holy sacrifice to heaven, as a priest on our behalf. All praise be to Jesus Christ, our High Priest "forever according to the order of Melchizadek" (Psalm 110:4). Through the blood of His New Covenant, we are blessed with "eternal redemption." Look at how greatly our Lord Jesus loves us. He is our Savior, our Shepherd, by obeying God perfectly, shedding His Own blood, dying, and being raised, so He may perfect all things as our High Priest, bringing God and man together in Himself. What a Savior!!! Bless the Lord, minister to Him in praises and understanding. God and man at table have sat down. Hallelujah!
