I Will Be Satisfied With Your Likeness In The Night

Today's Word of Encouragement from Wayne:

I Will Be Satisfied With Your Likeness In The Night

"I will bless the Lord who has counseled me; indeed, my mind instructs me in the night. I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken"

Psalm 16: 7-8

Praise God Who, through Jesus Christ, allows us to set Him continually before us, that we might behold Him at all times. Previously, I shared with you David’s words, "As for me, I shall behold Your face in righteousness; I will be satisfied with Your likeness when I awake” (Psalm 17:15). Now in this verse, we see this same blessed truth being declared, of our beholding, or setting, the Lord before us in the evening. You and I have this wonderful privilege, to behold our Lord at all times; morning, evening, all times. Ministering to the Lord strengthens us, and trains us, in beholding God continually and setting Him before us at all times.

Let us do as David did. If we wake up in the night, let us continue in having our Lord set continually before us. Let us awaken or remain awake with this same blessed understanding. And then, because of this, we are free to do as David did. We are free to bless our Lord, and to thank Him for His counsel and instruction in the night. We are free to "not be shaken" precisely because of God’s presence, "because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken." Praise You Lord that you give us such grace, and such love, in the night, that we may behold You and "set You" continually before us.

We thank You, we praise You Lord, to know that, because of Your presence, we are blessed to say even as your servant David declared, "I will bless the Lord who has counseled me; indeed, my mind instructs me in the night. I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken." Hallelujah!
