Follow The Lamb Wherever He Goes

Today's Word of Encouragement from Wayne:

Follow The Lamb Wherever He Goes

"They sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb"

Revelation 14: 3-4

Oh hallelujah! Let us follow the Lamb wherever He goes. This is the best invitation, and advice, we could ever receive. Yes let us follow the Lamb. We have been "purchased from the earth" for our Gracious Abba Father by the blood of our Savior Jesus, and God has put a "new song" in our hearts. So let us always, gratefully and joyfully, sing our "new song" and follow the Lamb. Let us follow Jesus, our Lamb of God, fully accepting that He "loves us and released us from our sins by His blood - and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father" (Revelation 1:5-6).

One truly glorious thing about receiving and practicing our priesthood, that we are in fact priests in this priesthood, and ministering to the Lord in God’s presence, is that we get to vividly learn, early on, that the best place for us to be is always in the presence of God. So following the Lamb wherever he goes becomes our "supernaturally natural" every day desire, path of life, and way of looking at things.

Here are a few more encouraging words, from our Lamb and High Priest, in scripture, about our great blessing, and our great need, to follow Him at all times:

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and no one will snatch them out of My hand" (John 10:27-28).

"When he puts forth all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow Him because they know his voice. A stranger they simply will not follow" (John 10:4-5).

"If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; for where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him (John 12:26).

"Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am so that they may see My glory" (John 17:24).

"I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me" (John 17:20-21).

"Follow Me!" (Matthew 9:9).

One other word from scripture that is often on my heart, about following the Lamb wherever He goes, is the great admonition given us near the close of the book of Hebrews, which says,

"Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith" (Hebrews 12:1-2).

Dear beloved child of God, in this new year, I encourage you with all my heart to sing your "new song" and follow the Lamb every day. Learn your "new song" by heart. Become an expert with your "new song."

"And they sang a new song, saying, ‘Worthy are You; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth" (Revelation 5:9-10).

Praise God, this is our ‘New song." Our "new song" is a forever song and is always forever "new." Be blessed, sing your "new song" and walk in the goodness of your Lamb in 2014. Hallelujah!
