Living Joyfully & Effectively

Today's Word of Encouragement from Wayne:

"Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples"

Psalm 105:1

Here is a beautifully succinct way for you and I to live each day joyfully and effectively in the Lord. First, let us give thanks to the Lord. Let us Give thanks for Who He is and for all He has done for us.

Second, let us call upon His name. Yes call upon the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, our Good Shepherd, our High Priest and all that the Scriptures declare of Him. Call upon the name of Abba Father, our "Daddy" God Who has "sent forth the Spirit of His son into our hearts crying, ‘Abba!’ Father!’" (Galatians 4:6).

Third, after we give thanks to God and call upon His Name, experiencing the intimacy of worship in His presence, then this is the time for us to declare His deeds among the peoples. Today, instead of thinking about how bad the world is, I encourage you to praise God, call on His name, be filled with His presence, and tell this world (or anyone who would listen, including yourself) about how good God is.

You will be better when you look at His goodness and, I believe, you will be in better shape for "the peoples" when you speak of Who Christ is to you and what He has done for you. When you praise God you remind yourself of His goodness, all the time. Hallelujah!
