No Sweat In Our Holy Array
Today's Word of Encouragement from Wayne:
"When they enter at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and wool shall not be on them while they are ministering in the gates of the inner court and in the house. Linen turbans shall be on their heads and linen undergarments shall be on their loins; they shall not gird themselves with anything which makes them sweat"
Ezekiel 44: 17-18
Praise God! When you and I minister in the inner court as priests unto God, it’s all about our Lord and not about us! This is a great blessing, a gift to us from our God! It’s not about our sweat, which represents our works and efforts for the Lord. There’s no sweat allowed in God’s presence, as we minister to our Lord, for this is not about us. It’s not about focusing upon ourselves or our efforts in serving God. Ministering to the Lord is all and exclusively about our Lord, Who He is and what He has done. This is a great blessing, to enter God’s presence, free of self-awareness and filled with God awareness! This is where our renewal is. The law for the inner court priests, in the prophet Ezekiel, was "no sweat" in God’s presence.
Ministering to the Lord is blessedly all about our Lord. When we minister to our Lord, we are graced to be in a place ("Christ in you" Colossians 1:27) where we may be blessedly free of self as we behold our Lord in all His beauty. Ministering to the Lord is not about work. Instead, ministering to the Lord is all about our responding to God’s divinely gracious invitation and call for us to enter His presence, as His "royal priesthood" (1 Peter 2:9), to behold Him, to worship Him, and to be changed in His presence.
Beloved, worship the Lord in your "no sweat" holy array today, your beautiful garments, which have been designed to bless you and rest you, even as you bless your Lord. Hallelujah!
