To Those Who Wait For Him

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I have hope in Him.’ The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him”

Lamentations 3:22-25

Praise God that our Lord’s lovingkindnesses and compassions are new, for us, every morning!

The proof that we believe this is seen in our own spiritual posture, in our being the one who will actually wait for our Lord and seek Him, in order to receive into revelation life these very lovingkindnesses and compassions.

Yes our waiting upon our Lord shows that we do believe His mercies are new every morning. This is precisely why we show up in His presence to wait for Him every morning; for we know that to be with our God in His presence is to be in the midst of His lovingkindnesses and compassions.

In the old covenant, people had to gather their manna, their daily bread, in the wilderness.

Now, for us in Jesus Christ, in His new covenant, we gather our daily bread from the holy presence of God. Yes, Jesus Christ is our bread of life and it is a delight to wait upon Him and His word in His presence, and to seek Him, for we know, through practice, that God is always “good to those who wait for Him.”

When you wait upon the Lord, as His beloved child and priest, you see His goodness. It is those who do not know the abundant blessings of our priesthood and waiting upon God who unfortunately have a much harder time beholding the unflinching goodness, compassion, and lovingkindness of God.

Wait for God. Seek God. And let God be good to you today as you receive His new lovingkindnesses and compassions, all for you in Jesus Christ.

Hallelujah!
