The Ways Of Life
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of gladness with Your presence”
Acts 2:28
On the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit had been poured out upon all the believers who were gathered together, the apostle Peter quoted these words of King David from the sixteenth Psalm, saying that on this day these prophetic words were fulfilled.
These words have been fulfilled in us too.
Jesus Christ, our gracious Savior, has made known to us the “ways of life.” We have come to know Him as our Good Shepherd and, as our Good Shepherd, He always lovingly calls us to Himself ,where we are graced to behold that He, Himself, is our way, our truth, and our life (John 14:6).
As surely as this is true, it is equally true that Jesus Christ has made us, and continues to make us, “full of gladness with Your (His) presence.”
What a blessing we have been blessed with, to have the actual presence, gladness and joy of our own resurrected Savior living within us, in a constant state of fellowship.
And, if we are ever not glad, we always know, don’t we, because of God’s loving grace, right where we need to go - straight back into Your presence O Lord, for it is in You that our eternal joy and gladness lives, shines and reigns.
Thank You Lord for making known to me Your “ways of life.” Thank You for being my way and my life. Thank You for making me full of gladness with Your presence. Hallelujah!
