I Will Praise The Lord While I Live - Part 4

April 25, 2020

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, o my soul! I will praise the Lord while I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being”

Psalm 146:1-2

Let’s us now continue through this beautiful Psalm, so we may begin to see how our declared life of praise to our God positively influences all of the issues we deal with in life

“Do not trust in princes, in mortal man, in whom there is no salvation. His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; in that very day his thoughts perish” (Ps. 146: 3-4).

Right away we are exhorted to “not trust in princes.” This means men of power, “In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.”

No one with power in this world can save you or give you eternal life.

No one with power in this world can give you the blessing of the Holy Spirit and the bliss that is expressed when you are saying, knowingly, from the depths of your being, “I will praise the Lord while I live. I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.”

Your true river of life and path of peace is always and only with your full trust and hope in your “Lord,” not in “princes” or “mortal men.” God will always tell you the truth. This is not so with “princes” and “mortal men.”

So, the more that you “praise the Lord while I live”and determine to “sing praises to my God while I have my being,” the more you will be in constant fellowship with the grace and love of God in Christ within you. This not only affirms God in your life constantly, but this also protects you from the snares of the devil and the corrupting power of “princes” and “mortal men.”

And now the Psalmist continues his psalm with this blessing: “How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God.” (Ps. 146:5).

When the Psalmist writes, “How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,” he is speaking of the person who has made the choice that, “I am going to trust God as my help and my hope, and not in “princes” or “mortal men.”

Beloved child of God, is it not time to realize “how blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob” and “whose hope is in the Lord his God?”

Enter your Lord God’s presence with thanksgiving this day. Yes determine to “praise the Lord while I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being!” Hallelujah!
