O “My Goodness!”
Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne:
“‘I will fill the soul of the priests with abundance, and My people will be satisfied with My goodness,’ declares the Lord”
Jeremiah 31:14
God’s promise in this verse, in part, is that “My people will be satisfied with My goodness.”
When? Is this for heaven, or for now, or for both?
The first part of God’s promise is, “I will fill the soul of the priests with abundance.”
Rather than getting caught up in a time line of when this may be, I simply say, this is for now, today, and for ever. And you yourself are the proof in the pudding, as they say.
Dear beloved, born-again, blood-washed, Spirit-filled child of God, you are His priest right now. Draw near, ministering to your Lord in His presence, and He will fill your soul with abundance; the abundance of His Own Person, presence, and power.
We must first be the priests that are filled in our souls with His abundance, and then we will surely be satisfied with His goodness, the goodness of God Himself. It is exactly as David wrote, “O taste and see that the Lord is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” (Psalm 34:8).
We take refuge in God when we minister to Him. We take a priest’s refuge in God. This is not a refuge to get away from the world as much as it is, for the priest, a refuge of closeness with our God in His presence. It’s more about “getting to God” than “getting away from” anything else.
It is in this awareness that we are filled with abundance, tasting God’s goodness in His presence, and, therefore, satisfaction with “My goodness” is the result.
Taste and see today! Bless You Lord, O “My goodness!” Hallelujah!
