Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne:
“The Lord is my shepherd”
The sheep does not choose the shepherd. It is the shepherd who chooses, purchases and owns his sheep. So, the only way you and I are able to say “The Lord is my shepherd” is because He first chose us. In effect, our Lord said “you are my sheep” before we could respond and say "You are my shepherd." Say this to your Lord, "You are my Shepherd."
When we say, "You are my Shepherd," we affirm and agree with God’s choice of us as His sheep. We enter into agreement with our shepherd when we say, and live with the blessed understanding in His presence that indeed, "You are my shepherd." Our Lord has chosen us. Let us choose Him.
Thank You Jesus! You are my Shepherd, now and forever. Shepherd me today. May I stay in Your presence, following You and knowing You over all other things. Thank You for being such a Good Shepherd. Hallelujah!
