Christ Has Removed The Taste Of Death
Today's Word of Encouragement from Wayne:
"We do see Him who was made for a little while lower that the angels, namely Jesus, because of the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone"
Hebrew 2:9
I hope you blessedly know that "by grace you have been saved" (Eph 2:5). But do you know that by the grace of God Jesus Christ has tasted death on your behalf? What does this mean? When Jesus Christ suffered at Calvary, He tasted death, and separation from God, for you and I, in that space of time between Friday and Sunday morning. However, because of Jesus Christ, you and I will never have to taste that kind of death, that separation.
Jesus tasted death "for everyone" specifically so that we, who have received Him, would not have to. You see, when our Savior bridged the sin and salvation gap, He also bridged the separation at death gap as well. We have a seamless complete salvation in Christ. Like He, Himself, has promised, saying " Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matt. 28:20). Praise the name of Jesus, for by the grace of God He has tasted death for you and I so we may always and only know His abiding resurrection presence within. Hallelujah!
