Immanuel: His Presence Is Sufficient
Today's Word of Encouragement from Wayne:
"But as for you Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity. This One will be our peace"
Micah 5: 2 & 5
Just as God, through Isaiah, prophesied that Messiah was coming to be "‘Immanuel’ which translated means, ‘God with us’" (Matthew 1:23, Isaiah 7:14), God, through Micah, prophesied that Messiah was coming to "be our peace." Immanuel has come to be with us and to be our peace!
This is God’s great Christmas gift to us, His Son, our Savior, Who has come to be with us, always, that we may have His peace inside of us, always. God chose a small insignificant place from which to send forth Messiah, specifically so we would all be able to see and recognize that God particularly sets His heart upon those who think themselves small and insignificant. Our Lord loves to turn little things into great things.
Christ our Savior has come to us humbly, from the "too little" (according to people) town of Bethlehem, and He desires to gently, humbly, and powerfully enter every heart with His peace. As it turned out though, Bethlehem was not "too little" (according to God) for Messiah to be born into this world, and you are not "too little" either, according to God, for Messiah to come to you, today, filling you with His Own great loving divine presence and peace.
Beloved child, be filled today. May all of our "little" hearts praise God for His greatest gift. "This One will be our peace."
Hallelujah!
