Favor, Grace, & Safety With Our God

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God” Genesis 6:9 When we walk with God, He shows us things and takes us places, all that we might be with Him and better know Him. Noah walked with God and, as a result, “Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord” (Genesis 6:8). When we walk with God, we are close to Him, in fellowship with Him, so we are able to see favor and grace in our Lord’s eyes towards us. God’s favor and grace are upon us and within us, as we walk with Jesus Christ, Who is “full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). God not only had favor in His eyes toward Noah, but God took Noah and saved Him from the flood, so th

Walking With God, Looking Into His Eyes, & Seeing Grace

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God” Genesis 6:9 For the past two days I have been sharing the blessing of Noah finding favor and grace in the eyes of the Lord (Genesis 6:8) and how this truth is for us today in our Lord Jesus Christ! This following verse from Genesis 6:9 shows us, for our own lives, how we may find favor and grace, every day, in God’s eyes towards us. Here it is: walk with God. Yes! Let us walk with God through this day so we may be close enough to behold the favor and grace of our Lord towards us and over us. “Noah walked with God.” When we walk with God we are blessed look into His eyes, in spiri

Walking with Grace And Favor

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord” Genesis 6:8 This verse from Genesis shows us that God’s grace has always been intended to be saving grace. Noah walked with God and God loved Noah. When destruction came upon the earth because of the wickedness of man, Noah was exempt, because of the grace and favor of God. Noah was saved by grace, and so are you and I. “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)” (Ephesians 2: 4-5). You and I today are walking with God and God loves us. You and I are not on

Finding Favor In God’s Eyes Today

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord” Genesis 6:8 This verse from Genesis came right after God had said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the earth” (Vs 7). Mankind was reveling in wickedness, but not Noah. Rather than being led into wickedness with the world, Noah was spending time with God, and Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. We can look at this beautiful verse in two ways. First, and most obvious, is that God looked upon Noah with favor. “Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.” Secondly though, is that Noah walked with God, in fellowship, worship, and devotion. As Noah walked with God, and knew God, N

Let God Take You Someplace Special With Himself Today

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him” Genesis 5:24 Every day in our walk with God we are offered the blessing of “he was not, for God took him.” Jesus said “Come to Me... and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:28-29). When we step into the yoke of Jesus and walk with God, we are blessedly set free from the bondage of self, even as we learn of our gracious Lord’s gentle and humble heart towards us. What a beautiful exchange, from being self-absorbed to being Christ-filled, God offers us. In this way “we are not, for G

Receive The Blessing Of “He Was Not, For God Took Him.”

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him” Genesis 5:24 I love this verse of scripture. On the outside, this verse tells us that Enoch walked so closely with God that “he was not, for God took him,’ which is generally interpreted to mean that Enoch did not die, for God “took him” directly to be with Himself. On the inside, this verse tells us that walking closely with our God today, means that we reach a place where “we are not, for God takes us.” This is precisely what ministering to the Lord is all about. We are walking with God, in His presence, as His “royal priesthood” (1st Peter 2:9),and “we are not,” for we have blessedly come t

In The Company Of Thanksgiving

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, ‘Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen’” Revelation 7:11-12 Just look at the amazing company thanksgiving keeps in this great verse from the book of Revelation. Just as this verse suggests, I believe that our maintaining a spirit of thanksgiving in God’s presence allows us to be more aware of His “blessing and glory and wisdom” and His “honor and power and might” in our lives and over our live

Offering A Sacrifice Of Thanksgiving

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me” Psalm 50:23 How do we as Christians offer to God “a sacrifice of thanksgiving” in this day and why would it be a sacrifice at all to offer God thanksgiving? If we are distressed and downcast, and don’t even feel worthy to enter God’s presence, and yet we sacrifice our feelings about ourselves and our state of mind, to praise our God anyway, this is a sacrifice of praise. O beloved child of God, learn from your Lord how lovingly He sees your sacrifice of praise. Learn to love the sacrifice of praise. The author of the New Testament letter to the Hebrews wrote this encouragement, “Through Him then,

Thanksgiving In Prayer Equals Peace In Prayer

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:6-7 Which would you prefer; to be anxious while you pray or to be in the peace of God while you pray? Thanksgiving is the difference between these two states of awareness. Prayer without thanksgiving is sure way to anxiety, for even while we pray we allow our needs to be greater than God’s Own Person of peace, with the result often being that we magnify our needs instead of our Lord, and what could ha

Keeping Alert With An Attitude Of Thanksgiving

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving” Colossians 4:2 Here is a great piece of advice and encouragement for us, from the apostle Paul, concerning how we may experience a more enlivened and effectual prayer life. Let us keep alert with an attitude of thanksgiving. Giving thanks to God keeps us most blessedly aware of our Lord. Whereas praying without thanksgiving can lock us up in complete self-awareness, thereby depriving ourselves of the great blessing that God’s presence provides. I recommend that before you even pray that you would first “enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise” (Ps

Magnify Him With Thanksgiving

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “I will praise the name of God with song and magnify Him with thanksgiving” Psalm 69:30 Bless your loving Lord O child of God, for this Scripture is telling us that when we come before our God with thanksgiving, He becomes magnified! God is enlarged in our presence when we praise Him in His presence! What a most amazing and gracious blessing this is for our lives. Don’t let God be small to you, especially when you could be praising Jesus with thanksgiving and seeing Him become magnified. Giving thanks to God is like putting a magnifying glass on God. He, of course is always the same, but we see Him more clearly, more accurately, more truly, when we “

Come Before His Presence With Thanksgiving

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us shout joyfully to Him with Psalms” Psalm 95:2 What a sweet word of encouragement this is. Yes, our Lord is inviting us to “come before His presence with thanksgiving.” Right now, beloved child of God, give thanks to God for His indwelling presence, abiding within you as promised, in Father, Son and Spirit (John 14:16&23). “Come before His presence,” which is to consciously draw near to God’s presence, “with thanksgiving.” Entering God’s presence is most beautifully accomplished when a spirit of thanks

Entering His Gates With Thanksgiving

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting” Psalm 100:4-5 When we “enter His gates with thanksgiving,” this indicates that we know Whom we are approaching, our great God Who has loved us with an everlasting love, and this explains why we are in such a blessed state of thanksgiving. Approaching God and His presence with an attitude of thanksgiving, is the very key that unlocks the door, in your spirit and mind, to actually experiencing and appreciating God’s presence. When we “enter His gates with thanksgiving,” this represents our thinking m

Have A Lovingkindness Thanksgiving

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His lovingkindness is everlasting” Psalm 136:1 Let us praise our God today, for His lovingkindness is with us always. God’s lovingkindness is everlasting. This means that God’s lovingkindness is ever-present, living and abiding within us through the Holy Spirit, of Whom the Apostle Paul wrote, “the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us” (Romans 5:5). “Lovingkindness” is THE key word in Psalm 136, being repeated at the close of every single one of it’s twenty six verses. This represents the consistency, the everlastingness, and the great balancing asp

Have A Thanksgiving For God Is Good

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His lovingkindness is everlasting” Psalm 136:1 Here are two great reasons for you and I to live in a state of perpetual thanksgiving to God. First, “He is good.” Amen. God is good... all of the time. So, let us “give thanks” all of the time. Let us allow the Holy Spirit to so fill our hearts with the presence of our God Who “is good” that our spiritual mind set will always be to “give thanks” to God. The more we give thanks to God because “He is good,” the more we will be aware of and believe that God is good, and therefore the more blessed we will be. Become joyfully acquainted with thanking God that He i

Cultivating The Garden Of Eden Within You

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man. and said to him, ‘Where are you?’ He said, ‘I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself’” Genesis 3:8-10 God created Adam and Eve for a life with Himself. He gave them the garden of Eden to live in and cultivate, and then came to the garden to fellowship with them. Through the blood of Christ our Savior, you and I have been re-created and have become beloved children of God (1st

There Is No Need To Hide From The Presence Of The Lord

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man. and said to him, ‘Where are you?’ He said, ‘I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself’” Genesis 3:8-10 There is no need for any child of God to hide “from the presence of the Lord God” out of fear. The apostle John wrote about our most blessed freedom from fear, because of our Lord God Jesus Christ, “We love, because He first loved us. There is no fear in love; but perfect love

Let Us Meet With God In The Garden Today

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man. and said to him, ‘Where are you?’” Genesis 3:8-9 From the very beginning, God has stated His desire that we would all live in close, intimate fellowship with Him. This is certainly a large part of God’s declaration, “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness” in Genesis 1:26. “Let us” and “according to our likeness” imply divine fellowship, and unity, within the Godhead of Father, Son and Spirit. So, for you and I

Living A “First Fruits” Life For God

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “They sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb” Revelation 14:3-4 Praise God, let us do everything we see these redeemed saints in heaven doing, so we may also live as “first fruits to God and to the Lamb” today and every day. Yes, let us sing our “new song,” of what Jesus Christ has done for us and who He has made us to be. Let us be His kingdom of pries

Singing Your New Song & Following The Lamb Wherever He Goes

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “They sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb” Revelation 14:3-4 Oh hallelujah! Let us follow the Lamb wherever He goes! This is the best invitation, and advice, we could ever receive. Yes let us follow the Lamb. We have been “purchased from the earth” for our Gracious Abba Father by the blood of our Savior Jesus, and God has put a “new song” in our hear
