Volunteer Freely In Holy Array

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; in holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew” Psalm 110:3 This prophetic verse about God’s people, through David, came in between David’s declaration of “my Lord” as king in verse 1 and as “a priest forever” in verse 4. Psalm 110 is considered David’s great prophetic Psalm of messiah as King and High Priest. Jesus said this Psalm was about Him in Matthew 22: 42-45. Peter said this Psalm was about Jesus on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:32-36. And the writer of Hebrews referred to this Psalm repeatedly as he wrote of Jesus Christ as our King and High Priest of a

The Best Way To See Your Holy Array

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to His name; worship the Lord in holy array” Psalm 29:2 Here is a most beautiful way for you to see yourself in holy array - “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to His name!” The more we “ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name,” the more we are enabled to behold our “holy array.” It is as we worship that we are gifted to see. As we glorify our Lord in His presence, our own spiritual eyes open further to His glory, for God is full of glory, causing us to even more want to give Him “the glory due to His name.” Through directing ourselves to our Lord, in His presence, in His praises, our eyes open further to see our

Our Holy Array Covering

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to His name; worship the Lord in holy array” Psalm 29:2 We spent a great deal of blessed time earlier looking at David’s life and heart of ministering to the Lord. As we have lately been looking at praising God in “holy attire” (2 Chronicles 20:21), and at the prophecy through Isaiah of God’s new “everlasting covenant” people (Isaiah 60:8) being called “priests of the Lord” (Isaiah 60:6), clothed with “the mantle of praise” (Isaiah 60:3), “garments of salvation” and “a robe of righteousness” (Isaiah 6:10), I thought I would return to David’s words on this subject. In the 29th Psalm David was exhorting people to “wor

Our Spiritual New Covenant Holy Attire

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “He appointed those who sang to the Lord and those who praised Him in holy attire, as they went out before the army and said, “Give thanks to the Lord, for His lovingkindness is everlasting” 2 Chronicles 20:21 To Praise God “in holy attire” today is for us to receive our identification as priests unto God (1st Peter 2:9) and it is also to prepare ourselves, humbly and joyfully, as His priests to enter God’s presence. Yesterday I shared the word from Exodus where God, for the first time, described to Moses the priestly garments, saying there were “for glory and for beauty” (Exodus 28:2). Our God sees those who minister to Him as being clothed with glo

Praise Him In Holy Attire

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “He appointed those who sang to the Lord and those who praised Him in holy attire, as they went out before the army and said, “Give thanks to the Lord, for His lovingkindness is everlasting” 2 Chronicles 20:21 As ministers unto our Lord, God’s kingdom of priests, we have been clothed with “holy attire.” In the Old Testament those who served as priests wore special garments “for glory and for beauty,” just as God spoke to Moses concerning his brother Aaron’s priestly garments (Exodus 28:2). The call in Psalm 96 is, “Ascribe to the Lord the glory of His name; bring an offering and come into His courts. Worship the Lord in Holy Attire” (Psalm 96: 8-9).

Rest On All Sides In God’s Peace

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “So the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for His God gave him rest on all sides” 2 Chronicles 20:30 Let God give you rest on all sides of your life today. First God gave Jehoshaphat the victory, through praise, and then God gave Jehoshaphat peace. Thank You Jesus that You have done the same for us. First You won the victory at Calvary and the empty tomb and, in Your victory, You have given us peace, Your peace, the peace of Your Self. Thank You Lord that You are risen in victory and that Your victory dwells in us even as You dwell in us! My brothers and sisters, the peace that Jesus Christ gives us in Himself is Himself, just as He said, “that in

God Is Here To Make You Rejoice Over Your Enemies

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “Every man of Judah and Jerusalem returned with Jehoshaphat at their head, returning to Jerusalem with joy, for the Lord had made them to rejoice over their enemies” 2 Chronicles 20: 27 Has the thought of your Lord made you to rejoice in Christ yet today? What, or Who, makes the difference in our lives between defeat and victory? Our Lord Jesus Christ. What makes the difference within us between despair and joy? The presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. “Christ in you” the apostle Paul wrote, is our hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Because Jesus Christ is in us, therefore victory is in us, for Christ has won the victory- over sin, death, and separation

The Lord Had Made Them To Rejoice Over Their Enemies

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: “Every man of Judah and Jerusalem returned with Jehoshaphat at their head, returning to Jerusalem with joy, for the Lord had made them to rejoice over their enemies” 2 Chronicles 20: 27 We have seen how God directed Jehoshaphat, concerning the great army that had come against him, saying, “You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf” (2 Chron. 20: 17). Scripture goes on to say that, “when they began singing and praising, the Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, so they were routed” (2 Chron 20: 22). So, when the people of Judah and Jerusalem returned in victory to Jerusalem, I

Our Specific Appointment In Praise

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “He appointed those who sang to the Lord and those who praised Him in holy attire, as they went out before the army and said, “Give thanks to the Lord, for His lovingkindness is everlasting” 2 Chronicles 20:21 Look at how greatly our God perpetually blesses us! He has appointed us (whosoever will may come!) to sing to the Lord and to praise Him, saying, “Give thanks to the Lord, for His lovingkindness is everlasting.” So, let us enter, as God’s “royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9), into His presence and say, “We give thanks to You Lord, for Your lovingkindness is everlasting.” Amen! Now what do you suppose would happen to a congregation that would willin

Appointed To Praise

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “He appointed those who sang to the Lord and those who praised Him in holy attire, as they went out before the army and said, “Give thanks to the Lord, for His lovingkindness is everlasting” 2 Chronicles 20:21 My dear brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, instead of becoming disappointed with life, I urge you to become appointed to praise and singing. Your spiritual appointment is a gift from God, to keep you strong in Him, and is here to neutralize and eradicate any and all disappointment that would otherwise take you down. Let the word in your heart be, “Praise God, I am appointed to sing and praise, as a priest in my God’s presence.” Yes, believe

Our Divinely Powerful Weapon Of Praise

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: "‘You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf.’ When they began singing and praising, the Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, so they were routed" 2 Chronicles 20: 17&22 Let me relate this wonderful portion of Scripture, which we have been looking at for the past three days, to something the apostle Paul wrote about. As I share these words with you from Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians, think about how God uses our praise to route the enemy. Paul wrote, "Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the fles
