Our Bread Of Life Was Born In The House Of Bread

Today's Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “But as for you Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity” Micah 5: 2 Praise God, even the name of the “too little” town that our Abba Father chose for Christ to be born for us is part of the prophecy of Messiah. The word “Bethlehem” means “house of bread.” Our Messiah God was born in Bethlehem, the house of bread. He Who would later declare “I am the living bread that came down out of heaven (John 6:51) was born in Bethlehem, the house of bread. Our loving Father God wanted everyone one to know that not only wa

The Great And Little Town Of Bethlehem

Today's Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “But as for you Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity. This One will be our peace” Micah 5: 2&5 Why did God choose Bethlehem as the place for Messiah to be born? Was there a message about this “too little” town that perhaps God wanted His Own people, and us, to recognize? Well, let me share this thought with you. I believe Bethlehem is a very special town to God our Father, for Bethlehem represents greatly beloved people of our Lord who, through their lives, exemplified devotion to God from the heart. Rachel

Immanuel Within Us Is Our Peace

Today's Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “But as for you Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity. This One will be our peace” Micah 5: 2&5 Just as God, through Isaiah, prophesied that Messiah was coming to be “‘Immanuel’ which translated means, ‘God with us’” (Matthew 1:23, Isaiah 7:14), God, through Micah, prophesied that Messiah was coming to “be our peace.” Immanuel has come to be with us and to be our peace! GOD chose a small insignificant place from which to send forth Messiah, specifically so we would all be able to see and recognize that God p

Jesus Christ Is Immanuel Within Us Always

Today's Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: ‘Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,’ which translated means, ‘God with us’” Matthew 1:22-23 In the opening chapter of Matthew’s gospel we are given a beautiful prophetic word, through Isaiah, of Christ being born for us as our Immanuel, “God with us.” Then, in the closing chapter of Matthew’s gospel, we see, in the very last verse, our resurrected Savior reaffirming to us that He remains our Immanuel when He said, “and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” Matthew 28:20. Do you see this?

Jesus Christ Is God’s Sign To All

Today's Word Of Encouragement From Wayne: "The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel" Isaiah 7:14 God has given us His sign and His sign is His Son, born miraculously of a virgin for us so we might be “born again” (John 3:7) miraculously, in Him, Immanuel, “God with us” (Matthew 1:23). In my life, my understanding is that God’s sign to me is always His Son, for His Son lives in us! Jesus Christ is our Immanuel, “God with us,” now and forever. God always directs us to His Son, that we might know Him, be filled with His Spirit, His indwelling presence, and walk with Him, never apart from Him, always feeling bl

Immanuel Is With Us Now

Today's Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: ‘Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,’ which translated means, ‘God with us’” Matthew 1:22-23 It is truly, wonderfully, amazing to think that this word, prophesied through Isaiah two thousand seven hundred years ago, and fulfilled in the Person of Jesus Christ two thousand years ago, comes to life now, today, every time a person receives Christ as Savior! This is a miracle which is intended by God to become true in us! What a blessing, what a forecast of our Abba Father’s eternal love towards us, that He

A Teaching Priest

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “‘The Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him. For many days Israel was without the true God and without a teaching priest and without law.’” 2 Chronicles 15:2-3 Azariah, the prophet, spoke these words to king Asa, admonishing the people of Israel to be true to the Lord. Azariah was encouraging people to be faithful to “the true God,” to actively listen to “a teaching priest,” and to obey the “law.” Why a teaching priest? Why not mention only to be true to God and to the law? You see, without a teaching priest, people will easily lapse by conceptualizing faithfulness and obedience as a matter of fact, of

Embracing Your Priesthood

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “But as for us, the Lord is our God, and we have not forsaken Him; and the sons of Aaron are ministering to the Lord as priests” 2 Chronicles 13:10 These were the words that king Abijah spoke to rebellious Jeroboam when he came to make war. Jeroboam had forsaken the Lord, cancelled the priesthood, and had appointed his own priests and prophets who were completely corrupt. Abijah’s declaration was that he had not forsaken the Lord, and this was proven when he stated “the sons of Aaron are ministering to the Lord as priests.” This, to Abijah, was THE sign of faithful obedience and devotion to God, “ministering to the Lord as priests.” This was the pre-

“And Ministering Before The Priests”

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “Now according to the ordinance of his father David, he appointed the divisions of the priests for their service and the Levites for their duties of praise and ministering before the priests” 2 Chronicles 8:14 When you and I participate in our “royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9), “ministering to the Lord” (Acts 13:2) in His presence, we are to (of course) praise our Lord, and we are so blessed in every way to do so. This portion of Scripture, regarding Solomon’s appointment of the priests, offers us yet another insight concerning our “ministering as a priest” (Romans 15:16). Yes, let us occupy our priesthood to God pro-actively because, in truth, the en

Praising In His Presence

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “Now according to the ordinance of his father David, he appointed the divisions of the priests for their service and the Levites for their duties of praise and ministering before the priests” 2 Chronicles 8:14 After Solomon had dedicated the temple he had built to the Lord, he followed in his father’s footsteps concerning the appointment of priests in the temple. Specifically mentioned were “the Levites for their duties of praise and ministering before the priests.” Praise was to come before everything and was to be over everything inside the temple. Nothing was to done in the temple apart from praise. Nothing was to be done from the mere standpoint

We Are His House - He Is Our Home

Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne: “I have chosen and consecrated this house that My name may be there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually” 2 Chronicles 7:16 Just as God spoke these words to Solomon, let God speak these words to you. “I have chosen and consecrated this house.” In Jesus Christ we have become God’s house, a place for our Lord to dwell, especially “chosen and consecrated” by God’s grace for our Lord’s presence. “For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, ‘I will dwell in them’” (2 Corinthians 6:16). Bless the name of our Lord God that He has come to dwell in us! Meet with God today and minister to Him joyfully in His house, the inn
