Eternal Comfort And Good Hope By Grace

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word" 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 How do we receive this marvelous ministry of comfort and strength for our hearts in every good work and word? Through "our Lord Jesus Christ Himself.“ Praise God that not only has He given us ”eternal comfort and good hope by grace," but He is also here now, "our Lord Jesus Christ Himself," to comfort and strengthen our hearts now, in this moment, for every good work and word. God, Who has blessed us with comfort for all eternity, is wit

Blameless With Great Joy

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen." Jude 1:24-25 God is here right now with all glory, majesty, dominion and authority, and it is His will, His desire, to "make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy." Do respond to His love and let it be so. Don’t respond to your old self and let it be "no." It is never about how good or worthy we think we are. It is always about how good He is, our great p

Receiving From The Spirit Of God

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God" 1 Corinthians 2:12 What channel is your receiver set to right now? The receiver inside of you that is. Our natural mind’s default setting is to receive from the spirit of this world. Whereas our new mind in Christ is set to receive the things freely given to us by God, which sounds so much better, don’t you agree? Sometimes we mistakenly allow our inner channel to switch back to the spirit of this world and then we do not know why we are not receiving the things freely given us by God. We need to fix our receiv

Forever Returned, Restored, And At rest With Your Good Shepherd

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul" Psalm 23:1-3 Everything our Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, does and has done for us, His sheep, and everything He has revealed of Himself to us, is all towards this purpose of the full restoration of our soul with Him. Knowing our Shepherd this way; this intimate, caring, loving, fully committed way, truly brings us to our senses. We sense our need for our Shepherd and we sense His total care and provision for us. So we are forever returned, restored, at rest, and in our right mind in the presence of the Lord our Shepherd. He faithfully leads us and feeds us,

God’s Face Shining Upon You And Within You

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "O Lord God of hosts, restore us; cause Your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved" Psalm 80:19 This is the third day I am sharing these words from Psalm 80 and perhaps you have noticed that the wording has varied a bit each time. This is because the Psalmist expressed these words in three different places, in verses 3, 7, and 19. This psalmist really wanted to be restored into the shining face of God. And why not, because a restored soul, in the shining light of God face, has got to be about the best, sweetest, experience a soul can have in this life. It is just as David wrote in the 16th Psalm, "You will make known to me the path of life; in

Live In The Shining Light Of Your Shepherd’s Face

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "O God of hosts, restore us and cause Your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved" Psalm 80:7 As a beloved child of God, sheep of your Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, it is God’s will for you, and your daily blessed privilege, to live in the shining light of your Shepherd’s face. How, you may ask? Praise God, the “how” is beautifully revealed to us in this verse from the New Testament, from the Holy Spirit writing through the apostle Paul, "God, who said, ‘Light shall shine out of darkness,’is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ" (2 Corinthians 4:6). Wow! Praise You Lord!

When God’s Face Is Shining Upon Us

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "O God, restore us and cause your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved" Psalm 80:3 We know we are restored when God’s face is shining upon us, just like sheep in the presence of a loving shepherd, as David declared of the Lord his shepherd when He wrote, “He restores my soul” (Psalm 23:3). The restoration of our soul is beautifully accomplished as we return to and remain in the presence of Jesus Christ our Good Shepherd. The face of your Shepherd is shining upon you right now, bathing you with divine love and light. Learn to receive and live in the light of your Shepherd’s face, for in His Presence is where you are assured of your salvation. G

Extracting The Precious From The Worthless

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "Thus says the Lord, ‘If you return, then I will restore you – Before Me you will stand; and if you extract the precious from the worthless, you will become My spokesman’" Jeremiah 15:19 Perhaps one of God’s richest blessings for us, in this present world in which we live, about our Gracious Good Shepherd Who, as David wrote, “restores my soul” (Psalm 23:3), is that when we are restored, returned to our Shepherd and in His presence, this is when we are able to "extract the precious from the worthless." Oh praise His Name, what a blessing, to remain in the presence of our Loving Shepherd Jesus, fully restored and repentant (as we have seen, the Hebrew

Resting In Your Shepherd’s Care & Receiving Restoration

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: "Restore us to You, O Lord, that we may be restored" Lamentations 5:21 Yesterday we looked at the 23rd Psalm where David wrote this about the Lord His shepherd, “He restores my soul” (Vs. 3). We also saw that the Hebrew word for restore was "shub," meaning; to bring back, turn back, return, and repent. I love this picture of true repentance being when you and I are as sheep with our Shepherd, for it is in His presence that we are restored. "Restore us to You, O Lord, that we may be restored." True repentance is coming into the protective arms of your Shepherd Who holds you in His hand. This is where your restoration always is. Today let yourself rest

Rest And Restoration

Today’s Word of Encouragement from Wayne: “He restores my soul” Psalm 23:3 Praise God, in Jesus Christ, our Good Shepherd, we are granted salvation and restoration. God saves us and He restores us – eternal life and abundant life. We are saved now and forever and we are restored in this moment. Restoration comes through our daily reception of, and fellowship with, our Shepherd Who, "makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters" (Psalm 23:2) Jesus is constantly calling us to Himself so that in Him we may experience true rest leading to restoration. As we rest in our Shepherd’s complete provision, knowing His peaceful, fruitful pastures and His quiet, living waters, we
